"Technical insights aren't enough to solve the complex problems of poverty and environmental degradation...New interdisciplinary approaches are needed." - IDRC
Globalhood attaches itself to a growing movement to redefine the non-profit or non-governmental organization field in positive terms by re-branding ourselves as "for-social-profit" organizations.

We seek to generate social profit through our activities by providing tangible benefits to people around the world.
Rather than define ourselves by what we don't do as "not-for-financial- profit," we prefer to define ourselves affirmatively, as being "for-social-profit."
The for-social-profit movement is also closely linked to the concept of the "Triple Bottom Line," which has recently emerged and gained significant traction. This concept is about recognizing the Economic, Environmental, and Social profit that all organizations can theoretically produce.
